Bread experiment
Students touched bread with unwashed hands, after using hand sanitizer, after washing their hands, and they even wiped one piece of bread on a chromebook. Then they put the pieces of bread in a baggie and waited a few weeks. What did the bread look like? What does this teach us about washing our hands?
Pepper Virus Demonstration
Watch this great demonstration video of how soap repels a virus. A teacher filled a container with water and sprinkled pepper in to act as a "virus." If you put your finger in the water, pepper "virus" gets on your finger. You can clean it by dipping it in soap. If you put your soapy finger in the "virus" water, watch what happens!
